There were 210 children that participated in the Fun Learning Summer Camp. The children were age 7 to 14 and mostly came from refugee and expatriate families. The summer camp took place at the ecological ranch Campeche, located in San Cristobal from the 22nd to the 23rd of July. The camp motto was: “Together and equally we make the difference.” The purpose of said camp was to provide an educational space where children could learn recreationally in a fun and safe environment.
Out of everything that the children achieved, we are most proud of the following:
The children came out of the camp with an increased sense of values of cooperation, solidarity, respect, equality, and friendship.
The children strengthened their knowledge regarding rights and duties while providing a fun and safe environment.
The children learned about dancing, music, pantomime, and storytelling.
