On May 29 of the year 2014, the Quantum Learning workshop for teacher took place in Juan Dolio. 257 teachers in training of various universities participated. The workshop was financed by the National Institute for Teacher Education and Training (INAFOCAM), which is a decentralized agency that forms part of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD). The institute has as its goal to reach optimal levels of the personal improvement, professional development, and technical education of national teachers. The main purpose of the workshop was to train teachers on the Quantum Learning methodology, and to facilitate the tools and techniques necessary for effective teaching.
Those who participated in the workshop had the opportunity to learn the Quantum Leaning methodology in a holistic, dynamic, and interactive manner. Everyone showed great interest on the Quantum Learning methodology and on Entrena. This was the first time that Entrena enrolled so many participants in Quantum Learning methodology workshop. The workshop focused on the three modules that make up the Quantum Learning methodology. Ultimately, participants felt confident that the Quantum Learning methodology will help them increase their professional competence and develop learning and life skills.
QL Workshop for Teachers in Dajabón, Save the Children
On February 13 of the year 2014, a Quantum Learning workshop took place in Juan Santos Diaz, Dajabón. Out of the 37 participants, 33 were teachers of 11 different schools of Dajabón, and 4 were representatives from Save the Children program. The workshop´s main goal was the training of these teachers in Quantum Learning methodology. The Quantum Learning methodology was designed in order lower the rate of school drop outs by helping teachers create a stimulating and rewarding school environment.
The teachers that participated in the workshop showed great interest in the techniques and tools facilitated by the Quantum Learning instructors. One of the participating teachers said: “It was an important workshop, since it strengthened our belief on the importance of the education. Furthermore, we learned about techniques that we know will make us more efficient teachers”.
Another teacher present at the workshop said: “the workshop was very enriching, and it offered teachers there the techniques necessary for professional development and competence”.
